Back to our roots and new starts

Karen and I are tearing down our house and are starting our long-awaited project, building a new house. We will be living in our garage/band room this spring, summer and fall. By the day of the raffle party, we hope to have the old house gone and the concrete poured for the new house. That is going to give the party a really different look and feel and we are super excited about it. 

There is going to be a very different vibe to the raffle party. Not only are we starting the day early, but we are bringing back the giant tent and stage...back to our roots. Some of the best raffle parties we had were back in the big tent days. Not only that, but the music is starting early too. We want to give people who travel longer distances the time to kick back, listen to some music, have a drink or two and chat with the other folks while they are here.  

We already have 3 bands booked and are working on a 4th. We will announce the bands soon. 

We are offering some great cash prizes. The funds generated through this raffle will go directly toward the care of horses in need. Please read below for raffle details. 

 

  • Drawing will be held at the MHWF facility on Saturday, June 29 2024 at 6pm. 

  • Tickets are 5 for $20.00. or $5.00 each. 

  • You do not need to be present to win, but who wouldn’t want to join in the fun! 

  • Door prizes will be drawn for anyone in attendance at the time of the prize drawing. 

  • MHWF Board members are not eligible to win raffle prizes. 

 

Day of drawing party: 

Once again, the public is invited to our 14th annual raffle party, held right here at the MHWF farm. 

This is not only a fun way to celebrate the raffle and the winners of the drawing, but also a way for MHWF to show our appreciation to all ofour supporters! We hope you come and enjoy the great food, live music, drinks, see the horses of MHWF, and enjoy the great company of other horse lovers! 

  • Doors open at 2 pm sharp. 
  • There will be a stage and live music from 3pm to 3am. 
  • Food, drink, free beer, water and soda. 
  • Besides the raffle drawing, there will also be door prizes, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. 
  • Party goes until we can't stay awake any longer. 
  • Free camping on site!

MHWF desperately needs your help in selling raffle tickets. Without all of you, we could not pull off the yearly raffle. If you can help us sell raffle tickets, please email us at scott@equineadoption.com and let us know your full name, address, phone number and the number of tickets you think you can sell. Please only request what you can sell, but also do not underestimate yourself!
